Bricks and pieces
A digital detox
MARCH 12-14, 2027
Chaplain: Pastor Karl Hester
Bricks and pieces is a weekend about building, creating, and letting your imagination be in control! Dan the LEGO man will be joining us for a full weekend of LEGO fun, challanges, and creative builds.
We will also get crafty with Pr. Kim Hester making colorful mosaics and exploring different ways to make something beautiful and amazing.
There will be plenty of time for games, challanges, and other activities throughout the weekend, especially without our phones distracting us. Whether you are a LEGO master like Dan, a studied mosaic crafter like Pr. Kim or just enjoy the fun, join and build something awesome!
In the summer of 2026, our staff used a phone app called "the brick". When activated, the phone apps of your choosing are locked until you "tap the brick" to unlock. We will have this technology available for those who choose to participate as an additional level of digital detox.
