JANUARY 20-22, 2017
Enjoy the beauty of the mountains in the winter!
Winter hiking is delightful because the snow covers the rocks to form a level surface and there are no bugs! If you can walk, then you can snowshoe. Calumet provides snowshoes if you need them. On Saturday, we will do a moderate hike in the White Mountain National Forest, followed up on Sunday with a shorter morning hike closer to Calumet.
You should have a modest level of fitness (routinely can walk 3-4 miles). We will stay at Calumet and delicious hot meals will be provided. Calumet’s leader for these outdoor adventures is Jerry Knirk, an experienced and avid outdoor enthusiast.
