It's the last day of week 4 and campers are having feelings of happiness and at the same time, sadness. Happiness in a sense that they got to come back this year -- foster relationships and connect with God. Sadness in a sense that they're about to leave again -- looking forward to coming back next year. It's been an amazing week and everything went smooth and great. The week ended with an emotional candlelight service from Luther Hall to the Lakeside. Tears were shed, but everyday remained calm and proud as they ended the night with the song "Down Beside The Moonlit Waters". BOOM CHICKA BOOM!
It's another fun-filled day in Camp Calumet. Our unit 3 campers tell us their their favorite classes. They also talk about how awesome their counselors and unit leaders are. We are always a family here. Boom Chicka Boom!
Today, we interview Mason, one of our Unit 3 campers, our Junior counselors, and our Wilderness counselor/Sustainability Coordinator, Emmy Biggins. Our counselors are talking about how much of a great time they're having here in camp, and also their transition from being a trainee to a JC. Our Wilderness Counselor, Emmy, talks about what it's like to go on day trips almost every day for some weeks of Resident Camp. They are all having so much fun! Boom Chicka Boom!
