Sometimes it's the interviews with the littlest ones that makes a supporter so glad for all that camp can be in the hearts and minds of the campers. This guy is here for the first time and does his best at answering questions. He loves corndogs. He is getting a kick out of wearing a dinosaur hat. Ha! This guy is fantastic.
Every once in a while, the good listener gets to hear a story about Calumet alums and the ways that, sometimes, Calumet can seem a little bit like a soap opera. These two have been coming to camp for many years. And had it not been for two 16 year olds who were in the right place at the right time dealing with the right kind of drama -- neither one would be here. It's fun to listen to kids tell stories.
Most of the time, campers are very quick to want to participate in the blog. They never know what will be asked. Most of the time, the question asker has no idea, either. These clips are far from professional quality. The set is whatever happens to be in the background at the particular moment. Hopefully, the end result is a little hunk of authenticity. Campers love camp and it's always interesting to hear what they're enjoying on a particular day.
Too many campers who have great things to say about their time at camp. There are 255 campers this week. Lots of cute faces, funny stories, and happy smiles. One of the great lines of the day: "It just feels right."
