Hey! Today, we start Resident Camp and the campers are already having so much fun -- creating connections, building relationships, and getting closer to God. As we go along the week, they will experience all the joys camp has to offer. Boom chicka boom!
The campers boarded the coach bus or loaded up into the family vehicles this morning. The camp is quiet now. The blog allows for people all over to remember that Calumet is an unbelievably fun place where kids can be kids. They can be silly. They can talk and sing about God. They can splash and run and dodge. They can make new friends and renew friendships. They can enjoy each other's company while eating fantastic food in the Dining Hall. Calumet is wonderful. And now, it time to begin getting ready for Resident Camp 2016. We were busier this summer than 2014 ... which was busier than 2013 ... which, again, was busier than 2012. Registration will be announced some time in the fall. Be ready to snag that important spot! Boom Chicka Boom!
A little taste of Music Camp as they learn a new song with Piper ... some impressive hoola hoop tries ... and some frank conversation (that devolved quickly) about sweeping. The blog continues to find interesting kids who like to share what it is about camp that brings campers back year after year!
Outside of the Dining Hall after lunch, lots of kids choose to gather for a brief moment next to Tanner, the camp dog. They offer the gentle golden plenty of petting and kisses and lovey dovey messages. Meet the great group of campers who were getting a kick out of connecting with Tanner. Week 7's campers are having a great time!
