The day started out with a very heart-warming Rah-Rah-Ray led by Pastor Joe. Everyone had a fun Unit Time with their Unit Leaders. The classes went great, and as usual, they were fun-filled learning activities. It started raining at night and everyone was in Luther Hall for Vespers! Just another great day in Calumet! Boom Chicka Boom!
It's the third day of week two and in today's blog, we give everyone a glimpse of what campers do during free period. One of our Junior Counselors, Sophie, talks about her transition from being an L&S Trainee to a Junior Counselor. Plus, she's the Department Head of the day for Arts & Crafts! Also, there's a pre-dance party in the Music & Drama Department for tonight's dance! Gimp bracelets have always been a thing in Calumet -- it's fun, you get to choose the colors, and a great souvenir! First time campers are having an amazing time, too!
Week 2 has been great for our campers so far! They've all been having fun with their amazing counselors who make sure they have a great time in Calumet. This week, we have campers from Sudan who are full of energy and are very participative! We are very pleased to have them here. Everybody seems to be having a blast up in Camp Calumet!
Today, the campers share their experiences from their classes. From the different Arts & Crafts classes, to Boating, and Nature, everyone is always having a good time. One of our counselors, Sovay, tells us that being a counselor is a very fun job! They are all very passionate about their learnings and fun is never out of place in Camp Calumet!
For free period today, campers were having fun swimming, tie-dyeing their plain white shirts, camouflaging, and all the other departments' fun-filled activities. These campers are always enthusiastic about everything!
